Contemporary Beauty
And then it was finished! Just seven weeks for the total build.
We have handed over the keys to Sue and Daniel for Daniel and his young family.
It was such an inspiring sloping site to work with overlooking a leafy park and views of the water.
We love how the Weathertex timber cladding painted in Monument has given such a contemporary look and feel.
That kids love their conjoined room with the 'cubby house' inspired bunk beds and gazing at the stars from the windows above them. They also have heaps of room for all their clothes, toys and desks below the bunks.
With a family of four living in this Shack it was important to keep rooms feeling large and spacious. So we designed a generously proportioned open plan kitchen, dining, living space that opens onto a large deck with those amazing park and water views.
The kitchen has a centre island, stone benches and heaps of storage. High raked ceilings give that essential air of spaciousness, as does the feature wall with 'man sized' recessed wall mounted television.
We love the Merbau decking as much as our new owners, for the way it complements the internal bamboo flooring of the Shack, as well as the main house materials and colour scheme.
But probably our favourite room in the house is the bathroom, complete with a full size bath for the kids to enjoy.
This Shack also has an essential separate powder room, and its own laundry with compact tub and mixer, neatly tucked within its own cupboard.
We care about the details that our clients like so much that Mel drove the 60 odd kilometres to IKEA on a busy Friday evening to source the wardrobe doors that they wanted for the master bedroom. An excellent choice to complement the bamboo flooring.
As always, we are extremely proud of our team. Great teamwork and a passion for doing what we love creates such an enjoyable experience for all involved.
